WTF foledr in wow directory deleted.

why the whole internet says that it is gud to delete WTF folder and cache folder. i just did. and got fried. GAME IS NOT STARTING. If anybody has any solution plz let me know?!?!



SOLUTION.

make a WTF folder in wow directory.
in that folder make a config.wtf file.
paste following contents in that

save the contents.
and try to start the game now.
if it says.
Cannot stream required archive data
then try to run it as administrator. keep this trying and game will run for sure

Those folders should be safe to delete. When you start game next time they should be recreated automatically. But if you are using MoP client then realmlist is stored in WTF/Config.wtf and you have to set it again. How exactly is it not starting? Is there an error message?

it was my biggest mistake to dlete WTF folder. it goes real horrible. i wrote a ticket form site and was told to change content of config.wtf.
i searched the file in wow directory but didnt find one.
I made a folder named WTF. nothing happened. got same crash reports.

technical suppoert from warmane told me to CHANGE THE CONTENT of config.wtf folder. i searched this folder in wow directory but did not find anything. so i made that file myself in WTF folder and pasted watever i was told to, in that file.

it started giving me new problem.
"Cannot stream required archive data"
again searched in forum for the solution. found one. but it didnt work.

tried to start the gamw 100 times. and fortunately it started.
the difference is the picture during login screen is chaged. before it had deathwing sitting on stormwind(that too animation. moving)
now its only a picture, much like a wallpaer of deathwing sitting on some other building.

character screen is too changed. i have troll but its showing background of orcs. the loading screen is showing wow classic wallpapers. and its saying welcome for the first time to wow. wtf????

you should provide us more information eg what expansion & patch is it, and whether you downloaded your client through warmane forums
