What's Hiraeth?

Oxford and Merriam Webster define Hiraeth as: (noun) "a homesickness for a home you cannot return to, or that never was".

Hiraeth is an alliance guild primarily focused on PVE,with most members situated in and around europe, created in early November of 2015. The guild was formed when a group of players who have been raiding together for quite some time made the decision to join Lordaeron so that they can explore WOTLK together again, as well as reminiscing the glory days.


What are our current goals?

With a fresh start on this server, the first goal is quick clearing of the 10 and 25 man content on release to promptly give us the chance to tackle and complete our main goals, which are hard modes as well as raid achievements, in a timely fashion.


When do we raid?

As of now, the planned raiding days are as follows.
Thursday: 18:00-22:00 GMT
Monday: 18:00-22:00 GMT
Tuesday: 18:00-22:00 GMT



What is Hiraeth currently looking for?

For now, the following classes/speccs are the ones that we are actively looking for our planned raid set-up for 25man raids.

Mage
Warlock
Holy Paladin/Ret Paladin
Shadow Priests
Resto Druid


While these are the classes/speccs we are looking for the most, we encourage you to contact us regardless, as we are willing to alter the set-up for great players.

We require people that want to join be max level, as well as pre raid bis geared.

What does Hiraeth expect of you?

Most and foremost we expect you to have a solid knowledge of your class and the current content as well as be open to productive criticism. This does not mean that we do not allow players that have not done the content yet into our raids, however it does mean that we require you to read up on encounters BEFORE we attempt a raid.
Second to that, we require you to be enchanted and gemmed appropriately(no, 2 stamina gems into your boots for 6 attack power socket bonus are not an appropriate way of gemming your boots as a hunter).
Furthermore, we can't stress enough that punctuality and attendance are important. While we don't require you to spend all your life on WoW, we would like to see you on time and ready for planned raids.
Lastly, we expect of you to be repaired and adequately supplied with flasks/whatever other consumables your class/specc requires.

(Being social in guildchat and teamspeak is always a plus!)



What can you expect from Hiraeth?

A solid guild/raid lead that has been working together for a long time now.
Good guild climate.
Organized raids.
An environment where everyone tries to bring the most out of their class.
Fair loot distribution by loot council consisting of GM and officers(decided by attendance, performance, preparation).
