WotLK Rivern Frostwind (Winterspring Trainers) Faction change issue

Rivern Frostwind will not interact with me because I changed faction from Horde to Alliance, so I cannot take quests to start rep grind.
Could any GM please add a 1000 rep to my character to balance it to be like the rest of the alliance players so I could speak with this NPC?
I don't feel like I am requesting something that is unfair to other players, Original Alliance players all start with the ability to speak with him. Why can't I have it? I don't understand why the in-game GMs wont solve this for me and refer me to the bug tracker.

.mod rep 589 1000

This bug has been reported in the warmane bug tracker multiple times and it has been a year since with no updates addressing this.

It has been 6 days with no reply so I am bumpig this thread up. Hopefully this time I'll get some attention.

I discovered another issue that seems to have been caused by my faction change, Now my alchemy specialization doesn't show in my skills widow (K by default) so I can't unlearn it to switch specialization. The in-game support GM suggested to delete my cache but it didn't help.
