1. [A] <Girl Power> I'm looking for fellow girl gamers!

    Sooo hi there!

I'm sure you've noticed this place is basically soaked in testosterone? Don't you think it'd be awesome to have some kind of refuge from all that dudeness? Like, a place where we can be ourselves and talk about the stuff we want to without being interrupted or hit on? Well I do so I've made this guild!

Currently I'm the only member and while I love the game I'm not a super hardcore min/maxer or "BE HERE FOR RAID AT 6 O'CLOCK OR KICK" kind of person. Not that there's anything wrong with that (and I'm totally open to it if we get enough willing peeps) but for now you should just expect a friendly social guild. I'll try my best to keep it clean and a safe space for female-identifying players.

If you're interested in joining (I hope you are!) pm Maddison in game or respond here. I'm super relaxed and easy to get along with so don't be shy! I'm UK based but because I have an 18 month old I'm online at weird times. Just /friend me and try whenever.

No boys please. Nothing here for you except cooties and gross period jokes. But seriously don't just come to try and flirt or whatever. I'd really like this to be a female-only space.

  2. I have a guildie named Bromgar, shes a very cute gurly being, i will tell her to .w you.

    *Tharess

    Fixed that for you.

  4. Inb4 you're just some psycho virgin dude that gets chicks to be close to him by faking a girls guild. Good try tho . Props

Great conclusion Sherlock! That's like, totally more possible and plausible than you know, just being a woman.

Thanks for the reply though. This kind of attitude is exactly why I'm trying to put together a girls' guild. Props?

  6. What the hell, do girls actually play wow?

Its a probably a bunch of guys roleplaying haha

Indeed :D Girls dont exist on Warmane.

You know, back when Lordaeron was on Molten we were like five girls in a guild of 20-ish active players. But we didn't actually find that out until we logged on TeamSpeak. There's reasons we don't openly disclose our gender in-game and immature fuсkboys are one of them. Like, believe it or not we don't give a **** how your pee-pee feels when you encounter a woman, we just want to socialise and play the game without being harassed.

Now please feel free to remove yourself from my thread. You have the whole forum to troll.

  9. What I find weird (which I should have pointed out earlier), is that you post and say your IGN is Maddison, then a forum user who just happens to also be called Madison posts immediately in your thread.

I don't see why feminists fell the need to seperate themselves from men, 3 members of Cookies core team are female, my old retail guild had 4 girls in their core 10M team.

Learn to integrate. Also not like anyone on Warmane knows any the wiser if a player is female or not until they raid/arena with them and hear over comms.

I've nothing to do with *that* Madison. I also found it odd but it's not like it isn't a common name?

Anyway. Yes, when you're amongst mature men, possibly married, who just treat you like a person it's awesome. But in many many cases you have to be the "cool girl" in order to fit in, and that means you have to laugh at sexist jokes, be OK with boys hitting on you, always be in a good mood, be super chill all the time and it's just tiring to keep this up all the time. Not to mention the drama when some guy mistakes your friendliness for special interest and confesses romantic feelings for you and suddenly your friendship becomes reeeeally awkward.

Sooo yeah, what's wrong with trying to get some private girl time in-game? Why does everything have to be about feminism and excluding men? It's just a guild.

Sure, I can't be 100% certain but it's not *too* hard to pick on clues. And regardless, I suppose I care more about the general atmosphere. If somebody is being flirty or harasses the other members they'll get thrown out, simple as that. Plus most of the guild chat is probably going to happen on TeamSpeak anyway, just because it's so much more convenient than typing.

Annnd I'm not going to hound people and question their gender identity, all girl gamers already deal with that and it's annoying af. I hate the default-male assumption and I'm not going to perpetuate it in 2015. Also, genderqueer gamers exist too.

Not to go all White Knight, but If I was a girl, and looking for a more social aspect then raiding/pvp, I would favor a girls only guild, anytime a girl speaks on mumble I cringe because atleast one guy says something ****ing *****ic.

sole reason why my gf doesnt knows i am playing Lordaeron ^_^

  14. Well, I mean.. I hardly see a point in trying to undermine someone's attempt at doing what they like. It reeks of some deep-seated issues you have with yourself, and taking them out by trolling a genuine recruitment thread makes you look pathetic.

Your acceptance isn't a requisite for a guild to launch off, so why would you even bother posting in their thread? You could as well choose to ignore it and it would not make your life any worse.

On topic, amongst all the negativity I'd like to extend my good wishes and wish you the best of luck.

No this is clearly sexism, as a man of justice , I will never accept that.
