1. [Guide] How to filter the massive SPAM/FLOOD in public channels

    What & Why

This little add-on filters repeat messages from chat and makes the global chat channel readable and therefore more usable.

With the popularity of Warmane, it's not strange that the global channel is flooded with people who wish to be heard and seen. This naturally results in everyone trying their best to shine brighter than the previous guy, which makes it very hard for anyone to find what they are looking for.

I know this has been mentioned before, but I believe this needs more spot light..

    Download

This guide is mainly for WotLK, but the add-on is available for Cata and MoP as well (although I have only tested it on WoTLK)..

    WotLK - http://wow.curseforge.com/addons/spa...ottle-1-4-zip/

    Cata - http://wow.curseforge.com/addons/spa...rottle4-3-zip/

    MoP - http://wow.curseforge.com/addons/spa...-throttle-zip/

    How to Use

Download and install the add-on like any other add-on (unpack into your interface/addons folder) and start the game.

Once logged in you can use the following commands:

    /st
Displays all available commands and current configuration.

    /st 120
Tells the add-on to filter out repeat messages that occur within 120 seconds. In other words, it will only show each repeat message once every 120 seconds. You can use any value you'd like, and I believe the default is 600 seconds (10 minutes).

    The End
That's all there is to it my friends. It's a very simple add-on that tackles a big issue on Warname. I hope this will help you and if so, please share this with your friends and guild mates to help them enhance their Warmane experience.

PS. I have no association with the author of this add-on, nor anyone on the linked site. Just wanted to share a good and useful add-on.

    Have a great day.

  3. Thank you for bringing this up, having /global enabled in chat was giving me headaches!
