i want to now if replacing the new client wow.exe with the old clien wow.exe would work for the 5.4.8 update just to now if i have to leave he pc on all night

yes, you just need to put wow.exe you got from 5.4.8 torrent inside your 5.4.2 client, I do not udnerstand why people is so scared by a .exe of 12 MB eheh, you can also rename into wow5.4.8.exe so it will not overwrtin your wow.exe (5.4.2 version)
