Nope.

5.4.8 brought the ability to upgrade item a further 2 times, making it 4/4.

This was blizzard's way of trying to keep raiders raiding, since it's a nice little upgrade with everyones unspendable valor points.

The thing is if u fully upgrade an item(4/4) you lose stats, on the item it shows that you have more, but once you equip it you lose stats.
Pls fix this asap warmane!

Have you checked this just isnt visual, as there are plenty tooltip errors within game.
Check your character statistics panel to double check.

This is not visual, you can upgrade the item 4 times (cost 4x upgrade) but the stat of the item is equal ~526 at 4/4 (lose status from 2x upgrade)

That is not true, they added 4 upgrades but only for gear introduced in patch 5.4 meaning soo and timless isle gear, not for tot gear.

Compared to 2/2 upgraded previous items that dropped from ToT, the new 4/4 items actually show more stats visually when compared to the 2/2 but when equipped you get less stats. Tested, and also it's probably reported by one of our friends in the bugtracker with Screenshots. You can see this by yourself.

In short, you lose stats when upgrading new items fully and you spend twice the valor for nothing. Hope they eather fix this by returning back the old items that were 0/2 or fixing the bonuses on the new ones. It would be nice if we actually get something from upgrading the new ones now while we wait for ToT HC. Gives us a bit more goal when raiding ToT post-patch and finding how to overcome the new bugs.

This is true, as a retail player when I was doing ToT hc in retail (1 month ago), the gear was only 0/2 upgrade, not 0/4

Yes, 4 times upgrade was only introduced in Timeless Isle and Siege gear, this is a bug that it's showing for ToT items. Hopefully they will fix it.
