1. Alliance Lordaeronian Roleplay Journal

So, back then we Alliance members in Lordaeron realm planned to meet up in the rp-ooc channel, but as I stay around in the channel, people comes and go from the channel and mostly, they were quiet, or busy levelling. I don't blame anyone though, WotLK levelling can be quite hardcore.

But with the coming of Brennen Moonback and his Templars(?) into Lordaeron realm, a roleplaying environment was finally set up in the Alliance side, a small step at first. While I can't join his guild due to having strong ties with my own, I can still interact with him. After all, who's to say that roleplaying is party/guild strict? I mean, yeah sure... some people could ruin the scene but....

    Day 1 :

So, the first day I met Moonback is when he publicized his guild in the General channel. As soon as I heard 'Roleplay-friendly' I can't help but checking him out. Thankfully I always keep my roleplay gears for later use in a more peaceful place such as Stormwind and Ironforge. Besides, these shoulder pads look unrealistic for me to wear.

    Bah

    And the RP scene :

Estus just happens to be in the vicinity when Brennen started to get drunk and yells randomly in Dwarvish. The Paladin's behavior worried the hunter who just passed by the tavern so he told Estus (a bit OOC-ly) to keep an eye on him. After Moonback was a little bit more sober, the two established their identities, although Estus is less- enthusiastic... as per usual. She did make a warning about going the Scarlet Crusader's path to which Brennen reassured that it won't happen.

After parting ways (or rather, my internet got DC), Moonback sent Estus a letter, to which Estus (after few words consideration from me) replied with sending a few Darkmoon Reserve Ale she doesn't need, with a warning about how strong it is

(And she's not kidding, that thing can make you go beyond tipsy in one chug)

    Conclusion :

Well, it's a start. I need to get those words coming out quicker. Luckily I chose her to be a Death Knight, so apathy is not something new for her

    Day 2 :

Moonback decided to change the scene a bit so he went a bit south of the Eastern Kingdom, to the place where most people come and go : Goldshire

Ignore my size, I was just trying the enlarging recipe from my friend yesterday

    RP Scene :

Brennen decide that Adventurers around Elwynn might need his help. For example, there was a human rogue passing by, telling the dwarf about someone called "The Collector" (You know who it was : Morgan the Collector of the Defias Brotherhood) and that while he appreciate Brennen's righteous ways, he admits that he's the type who will do anything to get the job done for the reward. With the rogue bidding farewell, Estus, who was hiding on the corridor came in to check the dwarf. She was taking a short break from Northrend's war effort. They were soon joined by a Night Elven hunter who was letting out his anger against the Kobolds around Elwynn, and mumbling something about befriending a boar. He had to leave shortly after to get the job done. The amount of Night Elves around Elwynn seem to amuse Moonback as he was joined by a night elven druid, Vena (Venazya) and a night elven priest, along with a human commoner (Tengelmann). Unfortunately he couldn't stay long and bid farewell,

So the remaining four people in the inn decided to talk about something else. The priest seems to be amused by Vena's dress, to which she told the priest that it was custom-made by her friend in Darnassus. The 4 decided to go upstairs. But something turned Vena and Estus away while the poor human commoner and the night elf priest were stuck there.

(At that point a few players decide to degenerate the scene. It is far too inappropriate to describe it, so let's skip that one)

While Estus doesn't really care about the commoner's fate despite Vena's worries, they both quickly came back to the inn when a scream was heard. Apparently things didn't go well in there.

Estus and Vena decided to accompany the human away to the forest as the problem becomes more complicated.

    Conclusion :

I whispered both Tengelmann and Venazya to join up, both quickly improvised although Tengel was lost in his choice of words as soon as he realized what he had gotten himself into. But I reckon he enjoyed those moments. Besides, all the things he does is looking around the World of Warcraft in a fun way

It could've gone better, but at least while Moonback was there, it was quite fun. Of course not everyone is happy, one rogue even went as far as calling us ******s, while some others joined in for the purpose of ruining it (or not, but it's definitely ruined by porn scenes on the second story of Lion's Pride Inn, in which we decide to walk off. Tengelmann handled them better than we thought, however, as you can see. We'd probably hear from him in his blog a few weeks later). As some people say, show goes on, and we concluded it by going away.

We didn't continue after that, but probably because we set up a campfire just for the fun of it, some people think we did... and they decide to exploit it

The gold beggars can go a long way to achieve his wealth. Unfortunately this one got attacked by wolves as we dismissed him. He showed his true colors soon enough.

Regardless, it's quite fun for a stepping stone. I'm looking forward to meeting Moonback later on

Advice for Moonback : Get Total RP 2 1.008, it's quite fun. But when you log in, the addons might do some spam that will lock you off the chat for 1 minute. It's mostly a one time thing that doesn't happen every time though

  2. Ahhh, it looks like a lot of fun RP is happening on Lordaeron!!! Makes me want to try and make a character and jump in too! :O

  3. Well, as Venazya said, the people just needs stimulation, for better or for worse

  4. So I didn't manage to get any nice screenies. I need to be more aware and press that darn button....

    Day 3 - 1 :

It seems that Moonback is trying to merge his levelling and RPing experience in Stranglethorn. Didn't go that well to be honest, because.... Stranglethorn. Today he also promoted the rp-ooc channel on the global which results a couple of people joining in (of course there will be people shunning such thing, let us ignore their behaviou). The full effect isn't seen yet though.

    RP Scene :

Brennen's behavior and mood does not improve as he found only loneliness in Stranglethorn Vale. He decided to drink in his sorrows awhile rambling in Dwarvish.

Meanwhile, Estus, whose passage to Northrend was denied by the guards of Stormwind, decided to venture across Stranglethorn. It was a coincidence that he met Brennen, drunk as when they first met. The two shared their misfortunes, although the Death Knight seems reluctant for some reason, especially when it reached the point of 'hitching a ship to Northrend'. The Paladin didn't press on, thankfully. Estus advised that Brennan should take a ship to Kalimdor for a change of pace, to which the dwarf declined, feeling that there would be no place for him across the sea

The two parted ways, only for them to find each others in Nesingwary's camp, Brennen's condition being physically worse, only for him to be knocked out by a Darkspear Troll mage. Estus barely managed to retaliate, having taken surprise by the sudden offense. Regardless, she managed to fight him back and patched Brennen afterwards. The Death Knight however, couldn't stay for long as another cry for help was heard. The two quickly bid farewell halfheartedly

Conclussion : An example of how to merge PvP and RP together, Stranglethorn is a very dangerous place as both Alliance and Horde are.... strangling on each others' neck as Estus described it.

Estus' excuse was actually my excuse due to being blocked off from Warmane server for some reason for hours.

And yes, Moonback got ganked while we were conversing on each others. One short death later, I managed to subdue the mage, with my nerfed RP Gear no less! Then a rogue twink whispered to me for help so I had to leave Moonback to fend for himself. Besides it was almost time for me to sleep.

    Day 3 -2 :

So I was looking for Moonback all day in Stranglethorn and couldn't find him, oh well... I had to help some lowbies getting through Zanzil mixtures gathering first. I had my own plan with Venazya though.

    RP Scene :

Estus was waiting for a particular initiate, a young Draenei Death Knight girl who hadn't managed to get a grip on her fate and as the result, performs horribly in battle. It wasn't her usual job to babysit an initiate, but with her passage denied she was the only person in closest proximity

In the way, she met Brennan, who was genuinely surprised that Draenei Death Knights exist, and even more surprised when it was actually a she. The three then made their way to Brennan's favorite tavern, although his mood is not improving after shifting through his letters.

As Estus took the initiate in while leaving Brennan with his letters, she started with commenting about how the draenei couldn't harness her power properly. The conversation goes on and the Gnome ran into trouble motivating the initiate before her. The Draenei girl was also in fear of falling back down into the grasp of the Lich King due to her weaker younger mind. Estus quickly reminded her of how she wasn't alone, and that in death, they are all brothers and sisters. It was about the best she could do as the initiate went upstairs to drown herself in thought. She realized however, that Brennan wasn't there. Growing concerned due to the dwarf's behaviors in the middle of their conversation, she rode off. Estus, however, couldn't follow the initiate as she still had other matters to attend.

Brennan's letter a few hours later indicated that the initiate has gone to 'a place' for resting. In the letter, he also mentioned a dwarven hunter she might want to look out for, although the dwarf seemed to have neglected to inform his name. The Gnome quickly replied that she would look for the said Hunter, and after a few thought, decided to invite him to observe the initate's training due to his earlier comment of going against the Lich King himself.

Conclussion : Yeah, we kinda blocked Moonback off, sorry about that. This scene is quite Death Knight heavy as Venazya decided to use her Death Knight alt, Katarya (I dunno if it's proper name for Draenei, o well). Good thing no one decides to rudely interrupt us. Ah Ironforge is never as crowded as Stormwind....

  5. Managed to take screenies for today but it's nothing perfect because of my screenshot bugs

Also, to make it look better in the eyes, I will format this a bit better

    Day 4 :

Today I ran Moonback through Razorfen Downs since he has not been able to get into a decent group. Well, it was lucky I ran to him before he went in so... anyway...

    RP Scene :

Estus was checking the mailbox Stormwind awhile waiting for the next ship to take her back to Northrend. There, she found a note from her friend, Brennen

Finishing reading the letter, the gnome cursed on the paladin's recklessness and quickly took a ship to Ratchet. Luckily she managed to find Brennen alive and well on his way to the Downs. After cussing on the Dwarven's idiocy she decided to accompany him. She also saw this as an opportunity to see her initiate in action. Estus managed to persuade Brennen to use the stone to summon the Draenei, who was not at all pleased of being transported across continent in her flight.

Despite feeling awkward being one out of the odds, Brennen pushed forward along with his Death Knight companions. On the way, he asked if there is an artifact that could help him in the future, mentioning the Carapace of Tuten Kash that he heard from the locals.

The three fought through the batch of undeads in the Spiral of Thorns of Razerfen Downs, only cut short by the appearance of Glutton, a sizeable abomination patrolling on the road. After dispatching him along with the rest of the undeads on their path, they shortly came face to face with the Coldbringer himself.

After a short but fierce battle, the three subdued the Lich's corporeal form, and acquired his robe.

However, Estus could not help but being concerned that the phylactery of the lich was nowhere to be found. Dismissing her worries, she led them to cleanse the rest of the Downs.

Brennen could not help but feeling concerned that the initiate, Katarya, seems to be a dangerous companion, even more than Estus. The gnome could not help but worry about her as well...

As Katarya advanced recklessly through the undead razorfen and the Death's Head quilboars, Brennen was attracted by a sizeable gong, to which Estus quickly stopped him. Awhile she had no idea what might happen, her senses told her that it would attract trouble, so she told Brennen to be ready for anything.

And as Brennen slammed his mace to the gong, out came....

The two fend off the whole horde of spiders that came out of nowhere. Their battle was not over yet, however...

Shaking off their surprise, they struggled to take down the giant crypt fiend. Katarya came back in time to aid them. The undead fiend fell on his feet, and as luck may have it, the very artifact that Brennen had been hearing dropped on the floor, waiting to be taken

Estus could not help but hearing some noise on the other side, deciding to run back to the chamber that they hadn't explored yet. What awaited them was freakier than they have thought....

It was a swift strike from the three, as the fragile skeletons were broken along with their leader. Katarya rubbed the fact that she seemed to be winning the loot more than Brennen. The dwarf didn't seem to like it so much.

And so came the end of their journey through the downs. The three has brought the Light to the accursed place and bid farewell to each others. Estus could not help but notice the animosity between Brennen and Katarya. There was little she could do and frankly she was not too motivated to bring the two together

    Conclusion :

Funnest way to do dungeons where the toons commented on what they're up against and everything. It was not much of a struggle but it's still quite fun. There were more good screenies but they got bugged out and everything.

Brennen's reaction to the Undead Nerubians was gold

  6. As our small sub-community start to grow, we got a lot of possibilities coming up, sadly I haven't made any screenshots to the new people I've met

Brennen's journey in Stranglethorn has come to an end as he moved up to Tanaris, the second most dangerous place in the PvPing World (of Warcraft). While I wasn't in Tanaris to tell the adventurous tale, I can still show some of his moments before.

    lol

Let it be known that asking a Death Knight about how they died is not really the brightest idea ever

Brennen and Espie talking about poor James Hyal

Slime-busting stuff, Brennen got his armors dirty. Ew

    Oh Brennen....
(The woman we were talking about is Onyxia)

Yep, fun stuff. Hopefully we can get together along with Venazya/Lusticey/Katarya, Bodkin/Downtown, and Hatch

  7. Today, let us get off from Brennen's journey and visit other characters, even for just a few minutes. Meet Hatch the Rogue, and Lusticey the ex-Scarlet Crusade

Well, more to the Hatch part, we just got done outfitting Lusticey, and we didn't manage to snatch that Tabard and/or the chestpiece of Scarlet Crusade. So we improvised with a gray cloth vest

Now if we are to learn anything about Knights of Ebon Blade, it's that they got some sense of humor, although probably a sick one. And most of the time, the Scourge is the poor victim of their sick pranks.

And why would Estus be any different? Of course there's no Scourge to prank around Stormwind, but the rogue is starting to annoy her with that attitude of his.

Of course, Hatch's arrogance has caused him to fall victim to Estus' shenanigans. But she did not stop there as she gave Hatch two more cups.

Let's just say the floor needs some clean-ups

Hatch passed out shortly later on.

And so, Estus was kind enough to wake him up. She's really enjoying that moment, and I mean really

But yeah, he did drank too much because a few seconds later, he passed out again.

As always, the evil gnome has won again

  8. Lately we're getting a bit quieter due to our guys having computer/irl problems, and our channel getting hijacked. But there were still some fun to be had.

As for now, I'm going to continue my adventures alone, but if you ever want to find me, here are my gnomes and a little brief descriptions.

Esper 'Espie' Teenyaxey, the ex-mage warrior who takes a liking in wielding greataxes and greatswords.

Estus Killswitch, a cold Death Knight who will sometimes go on a killing frenzy in a big fight like this.

Metsi Wrenchwrangler, ex-engineer and Espie's student, he's loudmouthed and a bit insane at times due to irradiation effects.

Merly Icespanner, a bookworm mage who also takes engineering as a side hobby

Legacy of the Order - Razorfen Down run

To make this less overwhelming, imma put the image on spoiler section

I've made a conclusion that CeruleanSnow (Moonback) has moved on from this server, and so I moved Metsi to the Legacy of the Order, comprised of Roleplayers evacuating from the late Nostalrius server. It's not as hardcore as Snow's ideology, but the sense of connection between members and beyond is there.

At one occasion, one of us wanted to do dungeon run on Razorfen Down (again). It took us a long time due to server crash and long queue, but nevertheless, we proceeded. I asked the guild if we can do this ICly and was overjoyed when they agreed.

Now, do you remember Hatch from previous post? He's in the guild now as well

    Spoiler: Show

    He's stealthed :p

Now don't mind Vorakam's attire, he had a Deviate fish effect that I ignored, it wore off after a few minutes anyways.

Since I'm already a too high tank, the whole run would be easy peasy for me. It's only the matter of generating enough rage for damage mitigation, but the rest of that is....

    Spoiler: Show

I'll take those misses and dodges as the result of Metsi's small figure

We took the usual route as the others, especially since Vorakam wanted to learn how to make a Goldthorn tea. He's such a chef, see. So what awaits us next? Perhaps you still remember that other Razorfen Downs run with Snow and Bree.

    Spoiler: Show

    Oooohshiny....

Hatch has quite a common sense here, something Metsi is clearly lacking

Then again, Gnomeregan radiation has plagued his mind with stupidity, sorta

    Spoiler: Show

    Don't worry, no one's arachnophobic

    Well, moving on....

After this, you should probably have guessed what was coming up next, the freakshow of the century.

    Spoiler: Show

We're an awkward uninvited guests of the party

A few yelling from Hatch later, we come up swinging our daggers and hammers (and paws?) on Mordresh. Of course, the feeling of climbing up a pile of bones isn't exactly the most comfortable one....

    Spoiler: Show

    ....unless you're an undead/necromancer

The group seems to have lost their way towards the true terror of the Downs, Amnenar. So we ended up on the pens. As some people may have known, this is where the tea comes in as well as a quest giver who is unfortunately bugged.

    Spoiler: Show

Move along, nothing to see here

Anyways, we finally made our way to the chilly spiral. This is where the true courage test comes in as we brave through spirits and corpses of the dead. Well, that's not to say that the quilboars we encountered weren't undead either.

    Spoiler: Show

    The death creeps into you...

In the spiral, you can guess what comes next, a few undead mobs, and... this big green guy here who seems to be so hungry

Let it be known that I'm not taking any gnome jokes about being eaten by big creatures kindly :D

    Spoiler: Show

    I'm not edible, NOT EDIBLE

Okay, after that failed feast from the abomination, we make our way up, slowly but surely. And then here it comes, our final prize.

Someone made him talk, but I aggro'ed him too early
    Spoiler: Show

We stare into the face of death, we're fearless!

Sadly I didn't get any shot of him punting me with his magic. We won quite easily, haha

And as a wrap up, here's the unfiltered screen of our little group, complete with the lord of the guild next to me, Tiade

I will be posting our last event in my PoV in its' proper thread

    Hehehey not bad!

How come I didn't know about this?
That's some good work pal - keep it up

  11. May 11, 2016
Looks like a lot of fun, thanks for posting this Estus. Next time I see you in-game I might approach you in-character!

  12. May 11, 2016
Thanks, both of you. I try my best to describe some of the best moments I have in Lordaeron as an Alliance roleplayers (while sometimes describing some downs as well, as you can see)

  13. May 12, 2016
    Screenshot! SCREENSHOT! XD
And great work out there! I really enjoy reading all this.
