  4. Go into System Preferences > Security and Privacy > make sure you allow apps downloaded from anywhere. If that doesn't work, try right clicking your launcher > show package contents > content > MacOS > click on the binary inside there.

  5. i've done all the terminal steps and made sure to allow downloads from anywhere, but I keep getting the "Permission Denied" everytime. I really want to play, been messing around with this for a few hours and really wanna join the fun!

I got it using some command line stuff. Right click on the World of Warcraft.exe, and select "Show Package Contents", then navigate to Contents->MacOS. There should be a World of Warcraft binary file located there. Open a terminal at that folder location by right clicking MacOS and choosing Services-> New Terminal at Folder. Next use the command chmod +x World\ of\ Warcraft . This will make the binary executable. Then you will be able to do the command: ./World\ of\ Warcraft which will run the newly executable binary. You could probably also click on it once its executable. If you do anything wrong, it might start patching to 4.0, don't let that happen.

  8. "Permission denied" when I try to chmod +x the file...

  9. you should use a space before and after that command, like this: " chmod +x "

  10. Wrath of the Lich King 3.3.5a (Mac)/World of Warcraft WOTLK.app/Contents/MacOS/World of Warcraft: Permission denied

The command is working but somehow I always get "Permission denied"

  11. Fix that actually worked for me

Hi all, so apparently I found a way to fix it without entering those commands chmd etc etc.
I found a guide on google saying to download zip file do this and that blalbla: http://www.mediafire.com/download/3i...f_Warcraft.zip
All I did: Extracted it, added it to my wow folder that I had already downloaded. Then just being frustrated I randomly dragged the file to Terminal without entering any additional commands. Pressed enter, and WOW launched out of nowhere!
    Hope this works :V
