Well if u skip 4 set and wear these pieces you get the following :
+74 AP
+20 hit rating
+83 expertise rating
+63 ArP
-24 Agi
-41 Crit
-60 Haste
And you lose 4 p Bonus.
So comment what u think is better and why :P
I am pretty sure that the 4piece bonus of the T7 set is one of the worst there is dps-wise. E.g. in a whole S2D encounter (which is obviously far from benchmark-encounters but i didn't have any other at my hand) i only did 55 envenoms which is a total of 1925 energy. 5% would net you an amount of 96 energy total which equals 1.74 mutilates.
Yes i am pretty sure since we are completely relying on our whitehit and poison damage that especially the expertice and the AP will outperform the 4set bonus by a good amount.
But if you have any data of backing this all up, i would be pleased to hear it.
It reduces energy of Mutilate by 3 not envenom but yea its tricky and needs some calculations. I used 200 Mutilates in our sarth + 3d so gained about 300 energy from the bonus.
which means around 6 extra mutilates and its not just the extra mutilates dont forget about Envenom buff uptime because of these extra 6 muti's idk bro hard to find exact answers w/o any spreadsheets available atm.

I stand corrected in case of 4P then, should probably read more comprehensively before I talk.Anyways, I did about 180 Mutilate hits in that fight (which equals 90 Mutilates) so thats about 247,5 energy which is another 4.5 more mutilates. I am still not sure if the 4P is worth it since the stats you gain are definitely quite an improvement.
The only thing i can recall to is the Rawr calculation which obviously could have some errors resulting in wrong outcomes. But until this is figured out I personally will go for the 3 offset + 3 t7.5 combination.
More energy>More mutilates>More envenom uptime > more deeps
its rly tricky to calculate and it also will vary fight to fight , I am sticking to my 4p bonus
@Fabix you forget to take into consideration that its not only those 4.5 mutilates you sacrifice you sacrifice poisons procs, envenom uptime and the benefits from it . Having said that , Im still not convinced :)
Ok so APPROXIMATELY we get 26 Ap ( 78 ap - 24 agi ).
We already have 268 hit with this gear so +20 hit wont have so much value apart from white hits.
+83 expertise is good as we can replace expertise gems with AP so count it as ( 166 ap )
+63 ArP ( not so valueable stat for muti rogues but its ok )
-41 crit ( pretty imp stat ) equi to 82 ap approx
-60 haste ( pretty imp stat ) equi to 120 ap approx
So 202 Ap IS LOST and 192 ap + 63 ArP and + 20 hit ( that only benefits white hits ) is gained ( and we lose Set Bonus )
Is it worth going for the expertise cap or is it better to gem ap? Coz u know get 80% energy refund when u fail to hit with envenom if talanted adn u still can benefit from the envenom buff
