WotLK Frost dk after the new core

If I were to guess, FS suffers from the same issue as this - http://www.warmane.com/bugtracker/report/20502 - it doesn`t scale with CoE.

Get MSBT, same stats as the tauren from the video, wait for same sigil and fallen crusader proc, but instead of getting PVP weps, get Havocs Call x2, that would result in more dmg than his Frost Strike crit on 1:00-1:04 of the video, JK, ur frost strike will crit 2k less dmg than his.

Frost Strike is nerfed like **** at this point. If u ask me FS was never double dipping, pre new core, outside of ICC in the first place, since aparantly everyone talks about how it was Double Dipping but NOONE can explain how.
Part from Frost Strike dmg, bosses have Resist mechanic cos of the diference in lvls (lvl 80 player attacking lvl 83 target, aka boss) so u cant compare ur DPS from the old core and new one. That also lowers ur dps by a small amount. It effects casters more tho...

Edit: @Selaya, CoE is another problem. FS isnt scaling properly from talents aswell...

get MSBT, get same stats (0:09-0:13), get double Havocs Call instead of his pvp wrat weps, get 3/3 Sigil of Hanged Man and Fallen Crusader as buffs (1:00-1:04), dont forget Razorice debuff 5/5 on the target, wait for KM proc and use Frost Strike. Enjoy with atleast 2k less crit...
In the end, with higher DPS weapons (Havoc 284itlvl, wrat 264itlvl), ul do less DMG. A lot less dmg... If u come here and say again that its working fine and that is something wrong with the video, gl to u my friend.

In the video the DK is using 277 pvp axes, damage difference is not that big from hc Havocs. I'm going to assume that his stats include self-buffs (HoW).
Here are a few screenshots using double Havocs and 74 less AP than in the video, note the top-end weapon damage of the first screenshot is only 39 points higher than in the video.

Additionally, I was using a spec with only 3/5 points in Black Ice.

In a double crit like we're discussing here I'm avg. with 10362dmg in a 300s fight. This is with BVB equipped and not str stacked. The stats shown in the video are higher than mine (-500AP, less MH & OH dmg). Going for a Str stack, like the Dk in the video is, would highly favour my FS.

I don't wanna argue about FS being somehow negatively bugged, because I honestly don't know. But the difference - especially to the video - is absolutely minor and definetly not a 15-20% difference nor is it as game breaking as you make it look like.

The long awaited lordaeron core turned up to be a GIGANTIC slap to the ****ing face. Imagine what happens in the ****ing merge, probably 3rd moltdown

CoE does not affect the ability, which is a bug. Sanctified retribution (and similar +3% to all dmg buffs) as well as ICC buff affect the part of the ability that has to do with weapon damage, but not the bonus (same goes for Blood Presence). It's not a huge difference since the bonus is rather small, but I can't find any data as to how they should really apply.
Rest of the raid-buffs are straight-up stat boosts, so unlikely there are any problems there.

Dude, u got both STS and DV procs while doin those Frost Strikes, in those Screan Shots u have a lot more atk power than he does on 1:00-1:05 part of the youtube video... Like 2.5k more atk power. If its not that big DMG diference, get double BVB and retest it. This time Without DV / STS proc on while criting.
Get same stats (0:09-0:13) same buffs (1:00-1:04) and hit Frost Strike. This is nothing what i said...

I would like to see ur buffs and stats aswell. Not just recount dmg... If this, avrg 10k dmg crit, is self buffed only and with 5k atk power, armor pen cap build and Sigil of Awareness, they fixed something about it, but i doubt they they did anything at all...

Dont get me wrong... I played retail till couple of weeks after the release of Ruby Sanctum. I dont want some OP dk **** one shoting ppl, toping meters and stuff. I just want a fully working Death Knight class since i aint planing on rerolling anything else.

edit: And for the love of god, can someone explain to me how was magical Double Dipping working before the release of the new core in Frost Strike formula? How is it posible that everyone is so sure FS was double dipping and noone can explain what exactly was double dipping...?

Whole FS damage was multiplyed by all %dmg buffs twice. So ICC aura increased its damage by close to 70% instead of supposed 30%.

Well i did some tests on PTR, but i cant say 100% which part of Frost Strike dmg formula and DMG increase from talents is not working corectly, but i will assume that maybe the Blood Presence and the ICC buff are not scripted corectly cos of the old double dipping report. What i mean by this is that the "55% of weapon dmg" part is not taking the 15% increased weapon dmg from Blood Presence and 30% from ICC buff, it calculates the weapon dmg as if there was no weapon dmg increase and it only increases end dmg of Frost Strike by 15%. Also, the "+138 as Frost damage" part of the spell is proly not getting buffed properly. Or it could be that the off hand, when it hits with Threat of Thassarian, isnt using the "+138 as Frost damage" part. Il do some testing in a month if its not fixed by than, since i got loads of studies and all i can do is spam forums from time to time...

Compare those numbers with ur own. Have in mind that the videos are with no, or with minor (5-10%) ICC buff, i cant say for sure, since they increased that buff as the cata release was aproaching, and i dont remember how they did it.
