Mouse DPI Question?

Hello :3,

So I wondering if there was some sort of formula to calculate your dpi on any screen resolution?
I have google'd this but my question seems to be to vague and thus I can't find anything.

Eg. Say you like playing at a DPI of 800 and your current resolution is 1600x900.
You then upgrade to say Full HD (1920x1080) what would you have to make your DPI to get the exact same feel on the higher resolution?

Should be something like this:
1920 / 1600 * 800 = 960 dpi.
That should result in same amount of mouse movement to get it from one side of the screen to the other.
