Yes, as on retail you have a chance to receive item loot once per week. This chance resets every week together with weekly quests.

Do the bosses like Xuen share words of wisdom like they did on retail? If so, that's worth more than any Prideful gear. :)

If by sharing their words of wisdom you mean spamming them over and over so the entire island can hear them all day, every day, then yes.
