What's your gpu as of now and ur past GPUs? Nvidia series? AMD? Intel?
Currently I have nvidia gtx750ti and gtx960. Sold my old gtx550ti just recently and still have my trusty 9800gt green just in case of failed bios mod lol. Back in early 2000s I had TNT M64 with 16mB vram only followed by my first "premium" back-in-the-days geforce 3 powerful enough for flightsimming which was my only serious game at the time. I wish I could afford a better than most (latest) mainstream gpus, like 970 or better. Not really a hardcore gamer just a hardware/technology enthusiast here like watching movies with SVP, tinkering and overclocking.. well thats my story :D
I'm using GeForce Asus Strix GTX 960 (2GB GDDR5) and it's really good one. Not very expensive and performance is really good - every game I tried runs on max settings (1080p).
AMD R9 270X 2GB, decent card, cheap, can run pretty much anything at 1080 with 50-60 FPS on High/Ultra. Sometimes has a few issues like in raid I get 30FPS, or if I'm playing something heavy like Mad Max I get a stable 40 average.
It was a replacement for my old Nvidia 8800GTS which I loved so much.
Currently running ASUS GTX 970 Strix, 2560x1440 ultra's every game I've played so far. Weirdly enough my favourite GPU of all time was my old Sapphire Radeon X1950 Pro circa '07. Monstrously loud whining fan on it, but that added to the cool factor back in the days lol
AMD Radeon HD 7770 now. Yeah, it's crap :P I don't recall older ones.
That card is not ****ing crap. That ***** ran all of my games on ultra. Besides GTA.
It's in my closet now but I will bring it back to life sometime this year.
never had a pc so far but i currently own a gtx 980m which is a huge upgrade after my previous radeon hd 4730
it has opened a new dimension of gaming to me :D
I'm on a laptop.
AMD Radeon HD 7970m, thing's a beast, can pretty much run everything on ultra without issues with proper FPS, including GTA V on very high/high.
Had Nvidia Geforce 660m before but that burned out within a year, was meh.
MSI Radeon R9 390 is what I'm using now. I would recommend anyone getting or thinking about getting a 970 to re-evaluate their choices and buy a better GPU(390) for $20 less than the 970.
AMD Radeon HD 7770 now. Yeah, it's crap :P I don't recall older ones.
I bought that one second hand for a couple of euros..... it works amazing! :)
I did have to use iron saw for the heatstink though.... it is enormeous and my CPU cooler was in the way.......... oh well :)
