WotLK DOnating lvl 55

Hey,

since i wanna start with a DK and I dont wan't to level up another toon to lvl 55 I would like to buy a lvl 55 DK for 30 coins in the trade section. When I look at the characters listed, I see they are all naked. Why is that ? And am I able to get gear? Like buying the DK starter Set in Acherus?

Isn't it easier and cheaper to just donate and then spend your coins or gear or something. Since as soon as you donate you don't need to be level 55 to make a dk.
