WotLK Pre-raid gear & Spec

Hello everyone,

With all the gearscore requirements and such i'm trying to find the best pre-raid gear for my warlock.

I can find all kind of guides describing the best BIS gear but no pre-raid, so heroic dungeon gear.

I'm also not sure which spec currently is most needed. I leveled up as an affliction warlock and like the survivability of this spec but i'm not sure if i should stick with it. Demonology seems to be a good choice too because of the spellpower buff.

Could you guys help this warlock out with some advice?

Deep Demonology is only good for caster-heavy 25-man raids, which you won't be getting into any time soon. As far as low-gear and dungeons are concerned, Destruction and hybrid are the best choices. Destruction scales poorly, but does very good damage at low gear. Hybrid will pull ahead of Destruction at some point. When you get enough gear, though, Affliction will become top.

As for gear, just farm FoS/PoS and RDF Hc until 5k GS, then ToC/VoA until >5k, then ICC.
