WotLK Combat or Sub for World PvP/BG

I have yet to reach 80 on my Rogue, but I'll be there in a few days and I'm having a hell of a time figuring out which would be the best spec for world PvP and BG's. I can't seem to find a definitive answer with Google, just that many Rogues prefer sub in arenas which I'm not interested in. I'll probably end up having to try out both, but I wanted to see what others thought about each spec in my preferred environments. Are both viable, but depends on the player or is one a clear winner over the other?

I should mention that if I had to put preference on world PvP or BG's, it's world PvP and plan to do lots of it (visiting SW/IF), but I plan on doing both. Also, rather than this being just a "build my rogue for me" post, I'm interested in hearing what people enjoy about their build and why the specced the way they did.

Edit - I'm I right to exclude assassination?
