1. Enha vs Hunter

    How fight against MM hunters?
    they have tons of damage and control and when comes your turn to hit they just dodge dodge parry your meele attacks and u shud spend all maelstorm stacks to heal + heal reduces and some hunter shoting in your meelee area like just jumping back. Some hunters use full pve gear and just burst down in 5 sec.

  2. use pillars, spam flameshock+frost shock on him and refresh lightningshield often, stormstrike his pet for maelstrom procs, dont even bother chasing him if you don't have wolves+sham rage

  3. Thanks but thats will work only if hunter gona afk. How u will kill him staying in range and let him just burst you??

  4. No, pillarhumping with shocks+lightningshield while spamming heals is the only way, if you're talking about fighting them in open field then you WILL die because a decent mm hunter will abuse their roots that don't break on damage and just destroy you..

  5. it means that dosent matter how hard u will dance and rollface your keyboard to get him, you loose by default?
    its sound bad coz not everywere is pillars and if u go back to heal, hunter can do same just run back and eat, thats why it is not good decision

  6. there are always pillars in arena or some kind of area to line of sight, and yeah trying to chase a mm hunter in open field will end in you losing if he's decent 9/10 times

  7. If he's far there's no pillar and you're waiting on cds to be able to catch him, swap to shield untill you get your cds. It will provide 15% dmg reduction in armor, some stamina and resilience if you use propper wrathful shield. Good hunters take agi/attack power over arp meaning shields armor shouldn't be overlooked shield + sham rage = 45% dmg reduction. But with all seriousness if you're playing on icecrown or loaerderon just reroll, enha is so bugged ****ing asian jesus 10xblizzcon winner 30xr1 prodigy player couldn't enjoy it.

  8. PVP vs any hunter spec is a hard fight for any shaman spec (6/10; 7/10).

    The key to this fight is to control the hunter not by damage but by positioning and counter attack what he's doing.

    First of all always keep up next:
    - WF main-hand and FB off-hand (the WF+WF is bad idea vs hunters, epecially vs skilled hunters);
    - Cleansing Totem (this totem dispells from you the serpent sting debuff which seriously hurts their damage);
    - Lightning Shield;
    - Earthbind Totem! (at the beginning of the figh it slows he's pet which allows you to avoid some pet hits and after the hunter himself; what is more important it removes the snares due to Earthen Power talent if frozen trap happens);

    At the start:
    - use Feral Spirits and charge them to stun the hunter (write macro for this, will give you 2 sec to get to him);
    - you can try feral sprint also;
    - use Glyphed Stoneclaw Totem (mostly all MM hunters prefer to burst you at the beginning using Rapid Fire -> rotation -> Readiness (resets CD) -> Rapid Fire -> and again with some possible stuns and silences just to put your character at dead zone of 20%HP when they can cast Kill Shot = game over);
    - as @lamshaman mentioned, use PVP weapon and PVP shield (bis if possible), use macro to switch between them and main dmg even PVE weapons;
    - Grounding Totem (just to catch his distance freezing trap or other silence shot). Rather he'll try to silence you to not let you cast Feral spirits, Frost Shock + Ghost Wolf!!!;
    - it's good idea to use your PVP trinket here if your character is stunned.

    Main TASK:
    - try to get to the hunter as close as possible < 8yrd (at this range he can't use his devastating shots: Chimera Shot, Aimed Shot, Kill Shot or other lite Silence Shot, Serpent Sting; he'll be able to put traps and use some weapon strikes with long CD and if he's not Survival hunter these close attacks will not hurt you hard);
    - snare him using Frost Shock (root, while he's far), Earthbid totem (while he's close);

    While you are near the hunter do next:
    1. If he Deterrence (at the beginning) use instant strong heals on your character, switch to his pet and dps him to stack other MS charges and heal again if required, redrop missing totems, and try Magma because he can Snake trap and disengage away (so magma totem will instantly kill all snakes);
    2. If he Disengage (jump away) + Silence Shot your character then drop Stoneclaw Totem (on CD) and run to him again, while running try Nature resistance totem or Grounding one switch shield again and watch his burst buffs, if the dmg is high try Shamanistic Rage;
    3. After prev cases most of his spells are on CDs, so this is time to you to perform some swings: Flameshock + Magma Totem. A skilled hunter at this point will try to kite you around Frozen traps or will try other tricks.
    4. As soon he'll catch you with some stun, CC to run away, wait and try fast or instant Hex to stay close; switch to his pet and stack MS again for heals.

    Never:
    - heal if he is far;
    - try to kill his pet (he'll resummon it again), in wotlk patch it not worth;
    - dps if he Deterrences;
    - run from hunter in open area;
    - hiddin behind pillars will not save your character for long but let the hunter to finish his CDs;

    Tips:

    - Prev tips works vs most hunters but for exceptional ones you'll need more to care. For example, hunters which not stack ArP stats like to use serpent or worms pets. Their spits reducing your armor by min 20%!;
    - Get as many PVP items as possible and higher as available. Shaman isn't a class which can PVP with half of PVE gear (get min 1300 resilience rating).
    - The most important thing to do is to practice a lot, you have to invest or spend/waste a lot of personal time to mastery this pvp and other duels. As a shaman you need to spend double time and to have double skills to show the same results as other top specs, because what I typed above to do at right moment in right order requires high skills.
