Problem with mining

Hello. I am relatively new both here and to WoW. I'm having a problem with mining and with 2 quests in Cataclysm. I don't get any copper ore from copper vein and for the Death Knight class, 2 quests are bugged at the starting zone, so I can't get those few talent points. Any solutions? Thanks.

For the deathknight, make a ticket to get those quests completed :)
For the mining ores.... Indeed alot of ores (copper, tin, fel iron and a ****load more) are bugged. They don't drop their loots.

Other than that, ores are mass-overspawned --> look at wotlk and maybe "port" the system from there that regulates ore spawns?
