WotLK Exited the Wintergrasp battle?

I was queued up for wintergrasp. While queued I was completing farm quests in the Wintergrasp zone. When the battle started I was teleported somewhere into Icecrown and informed "you have exited the battle". My queue was dropped and I didn't get to join the fight? What happened?

Wg is like an usual bg, it has a maximum of people set to play in... so, you just queued after all places were taken, so the fight is fair.. just, when you see there ars 16 (15 actually) min left, wrap to a capital city and speak with a battlemaster :)
