A returning player- need some info

Hi, so I haven't played in almost a year, and that was on Frostwolf.
So, I see Icecrown, the newly merged server has quite a bit of people. so I intend to come.

But I need some info,
What are the rates? (drop, exp etc)
Does it take long to get geared in Wotlk?
Is it worth to even come, or is everyone an endgame elitist?
Which classes are on the strong side and which on a weaker one?
Are there any classes that are broken in terms of bugs? (core abilities)

depends on do you have friends, how long do you play per day and do you know how to gear or will you just stand in org/dala/sw begging for gold to buy ah gear. Can be fast and can be really really slow.
for "mid"game you'll have to deal with pugs for the most parts, as most guilds are either too small to make a raid, pvp or big enough to make 25hc raids, with few exceptions.
If you mean by dps, then stronger side will be fury warriors, dks, hunts, fire mages, rogues (if good at it). Tanking and healing wise every class/spec is specialized in specific one (for example blood dk tanks can be good at solotarget tanking, but bad at aoe threat etc), so there are no stronger or weaker ones.
Not sure about completely bugged classes, as I dont really pay attention to that.
