1. [BUILD] Assassination question

All right guys I have a question for you all, about 3 Assassination talents: Malice, Ruthlessness and Blood Spatter.

I don't really know in which one I should invest my last points because:
    - Malice is fine with 2/5 but could be cool with 5/5.
    - Ruthlessness would be great with 3/3 to get one extra CP which could save my life in case I have to quickly silence with a Kidney Shot (and build the CPs faster).
    - Blood Spatter would increase my ability to bleed out plate owners such as frikin DKs.

    Here are the templates examples:
    - Malice http://wotlk.openwow.com/talent#fhxcoZhZebfbhMddVzAfRt
    - Ruthlessness http://wotlk.openwow.com/talent#fhfcoZhZebfbhMddVzAfRt
    - Blood Spatter http://wotlk.openwow.com/talent#fhhfoZhZebfbhMddVzAfRt

We all have different ideas on such things and I see the troll coming right on me so please, just focus on my point here and not on the other parts of the build, thank you.

    Thanks a lot!

  2. Relocate Imp Eviscerate as its damage sucks and you don't use it in PvP anyway. Problem solved.

If you are some kind of Eviscerate fan though, the Blood Spatter variation is the best option because Ruthlessness is RNG and 3% crit is meh. Blood Spatter grants massive 30% bonus on your caster opener and your main peel. But then again, if you're using Blood Spatter you wouldn't need Imp Eviscerate. :D

  3. It's preference and depends on play style, but in all of them are 2 things wrong.

    1) you are overspending 1 point in assa, those are filler talents for the most part, so slapping 12 instead of 11 in there is a waste. 11/3/57 is where it's at.

    2) you are missing iniative, which is the talent which enables the ridiculous shadow dance burst via ambush > evis rotation ( unless Rng messes you up with energy proccs)

So yea, what you blow those 2 assa filler points on is unimportant, just pick what you believe fits you more. I'm running BiS arp so my points sit in 2/3 ruthelessness, while I run them in Crit when I got crap gear simply for consistency. I personally never run blood splatter, never been a bleed fan, it's also only worth it if you stack AP over arp to begin with.

  4. All right thanks a lot for the precisions!

So, what do you think about this?

Edit: You are talking about "BiS arp", what is it please? I am french and sometimes some things are difficult to translate...

  5. I think Ricks's Assa part of the build is like this. Regarding the Sub part, you're missing Master of Subtlety. Waylay 1/2 is also an option. Filthy Tricks is a talent I never really picked so deep in the tree over other talents.

Meaning my character is best in slot geared (for my purpose), while stacking armor penetration. But gearing is a little more complicated then that, so i won't be dipping into that.

Either way, what I personally run as my build is: http://wotlk.openwow.com/talent#fhrcoZhZebfbhGzdVzAfRt

There's always room for changes, for example I don't run into nearly enough rogues to justify running heightened senses, so I'm skipping it (not a fan of random miss chances either, I prefer consistency). If I were going to grap it I would simple go 4/5 deadliness and 2/3 camouflage to free up 2 points. The 2 points from ruthlessness are completely free for either 2% more Crit or bleed increase, whatever floats your boat.

This pretty much allows you to rotate an ambush Crit (4 combo points) into an evisc (80% chance to refund energy, 100% if ruthlessness procced) and ambush>evisc>ambush> evisc for basically the entire dance duration creates incredible pressure for the enemy.

  7. Nice, thanks a lot guys!

Why spending 2 points in Ruthlessness if you're only looking for a 20% chance (80+20)?
