1. Im new to multiboxing and have a few questions.

Hi! So i wanna level my low level warrior with my hunter, first i tried running 2 clients and then just use the follow command but my warrior was always behind and it was annoying to alt tab constantly, so i decided to ask you guys, if i would install a program (i dont even know which one and how) would it solve my problems? Also, whats the best way to level up a character using multiboxing? killing mobs endlessly? quests? or else?

besides the questions i asked, any other tips would be appreciated, thanks!

  2. Sounds like your just looking to help yourself level, Octopus would help with that, also get the addon Jamba, it helps with menial things like selling grays, making your guys take the same flightpaths and such.

    Here's a Tort. for Octopus:

    and Jamba:
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0TkzBZ-s5Ok

Its lightweight and basically just a key broadcaster for both clients, also macros will help you, like /follow, /assist.

In any case hope that helps, and welcome to boxing!

Well, i watched both videos and none of those 2 programs work for me at all. Any other programs you recommend? I really dont wanna level my rogue solo.

  4. Hi there.

Personally I started with HotKeyNet and moved to ISBoxer later when I felt like HotKeyNet wasn't enough for me. HotKeyNet was more than enough for leveling and heroics in my opinion.

    HotKeyNet download: http://hotkeynet.com/p/download.html

    HotKeyNet Quick start guide: http://hotkeynet.com/wow/wow-quick-start.html

Download Jamba addon from here (iirc I downloaded the release-0.7b): http://wow.curseforge.com/addons/jamba/files/?sort=date

Jamba is not a must, but it helps quite a lot. You need to download jamba and extract it to your addons folder, like you would do with any other addon.

HotKeyNet requires a little bit of setup, just like any other multiboxing program. The quick start guide above had all information I needed, but if you need more help, search for some guides from hotkeynet site or youtube or wherever.

  5. yeah I'm not sure what to tell you then, if your not looking to use them as a team, isboxer is way overkill, as well as any straight boxer program. in my opinion your either unsure of the right question to ask, or you didn't grasp the concept explained in the video.

I'd suggest watching them over again. multiboxing is its own thing, and you have some basic concepts to understand, but there are no, step by step guides to tell you how to play (unless you go shaman, most boxers love those ) your specific set up like the multitudes of guilds for lets say PVE RET pally guide, or this is the rotation of your single frost DK, you HAVE to work that out for yourself, and think about well this toon will cast X when i press X, what do i want my other toon doing. It takes some thinking outside the box of the single player your used to.

If you are wanting to use the toons as a single unit, or box more than 2, isboxer would be a good place to go, although i think pwnboxer would work as well.

Yep, for beginners, I recommend HotKeyNet. There's a quick set-up on their page.

Regarding leveling, have the high level follow around the low level while the low level is doing quests in whatever region the low level is allowed. Quests is probably the fastest IMO, as I do have the high and low level in the same party.

Make sure you do not take the low level to a high level area (e.g. level 10 in Icecrown Citadal) because that's against Warmane's server rules (powerleveling).
