Hi! Im new to the game so idk much about leveling, but a few ppl on my friendslist level insanely fast, one of the leveled a ROGUE to 80 in 1 day and like 10 hours. How? Im here with my druid (horde) not knowing where to go and the only guides that i could find tell me to go into zones where i have to kill red mobs in low level gear at level 13. What guide u guys follow? or whats the recipe for fast leveling here?

1-10 starting zone
10-20 in next camp
20-30 Barrens
30-40 1k needles/STV
40-50 Tanaris
50-60 Un'goro and silithus
60-65 Hellfire
65-70 Nagrand/Zangarmash
70-75 Borean tundra/Dragonblight
76-80 Sholazar/Icecrown

You just gave him the worst places there are for low levelers / newcomers. Do you even wonder how many times he might get ganked? If he wants to PvP at early levels and then get camped by lvl 80, fine for me, but better go slow
So I'd recommend the following:
- Remove STV and put Desolace
- Remove Tanaris and put Badlands and Feralas, for example
- Un'goro? Nah, go Hinterlands (most quests are 48ish) then Felwood doesn't seem so crowded, or you may go western plaguelands too
- TBC nothing to say
- Remove Borean / Dragon and put Howling Fjord / Grizzly Hills
- Sholazar is also crowded, but I guess Howling + Grizzly might be enough to get 80. I didn't lvl in x7 so I don't know

I'm not really sure about the Horde routes pre 30, but after that those locations are the fastest to level simply because there's a lot of instant quests.
This is my route whenever I level an alt and I have yet to get ganked - just don't level during weekends and you'll be fine.

no guides, just experience and frustrations
most guides you find here is outdated from 2010~ 20x molten realms, you can only use them as reference to changing zones
if you follow these guides, you will be undergeared for the zone unless you outlevel the zone until the mobs are almost grayed
before you follow these guides, this is what you want to do:
first, the best thing you can do is taking leatherworking and herbalism and spend some time in durotar, sell all the mats but dont worry about buying items on AH yet, you can easily sell a stack of light leather for 100g, if not more, once you have over 1k gold, drop herbalism and take a crafting profession of your character's armor type, since you are druid leatherworking shouldnt be a problem, now you farm leather to craft basic light leather gear up to about 130~ leatherworking, shouldnt take too long, the "fine leather set" is much better than dungeon greens at this level
now with a basic set, you can start following these guides without a problem, queue for RDF and pray for a good weapon, but stop queueing RDF after level 25 because its bugged, keep skinning all mobs you can and crafting your gear, this is where you will use that 1k gold, you want to buy only the MISSING materials to craft gear, E.G you need to craft a boots, you have 4 medium leathers but its missing a hide, you can buy the hide instead of going outside to farm just 1

do all this up to level 40, then you can stop crafting if you want, just make sure you always upgrade your weapon if you are in melee class

17hours 38mins this way on my paladin, 18hours 17 minutes on my hunter. (Alliance)
1-12 elly forest
12-17 Westfall (Do the 15/15 defias quest, 15 bandanas, and gnoll quest)
17-24 Redridge
24-28 Duskwood
28-32 Wetlands (North the dark iron auests)
32-35/36 Arathi do the mercenary/pathstalker quest then the follow up with the falconcrest, and otto quest (and the orc one).
35/36-45 Dustwallow Marsh. Amazing exp only down side is some hordes kill the best quest npc who gives you the raptor/grim totem tauren quests and you gotta wait for respawn.
45-52 Searing gorge. Do all quests except the escort one, pillow one, and the light the towers one.
52-55/56 Burning steeps
56-58 Ungoro crater
58-65/68 Hellfire.
65-68 Zangermarsh.
68-75 Borean Tundra
75-77 Grizzly Hills (Daily pvp quests are nice there too)
77-78 Zuldrak or whatever it's called. The ragemane quests, or the champions call(depending if someone will help you.)
78-80 Stormpeak goblin quests leading to Sons of Hodir.
Leveling within 2 days and never traveled to an inn to get rested xp. (Paladin did not use heirlooms)

This weekend I'm on a special mission to camp leveling hordes in non camping areas such as; Desolace, Badlands, Feralas, Hinterlands, Felwood, Western Plaguelands, Howling Fjord/Grizzly Hills. Expect the unexpected in those zones.
I will slay each and everyone of them and draw the blood. All those places are going to be slaughter city with hordes' blood.

Follow this to the letter and you should avoid 99% of pvp encounters (ganks),
1 - 27 Eversong woods, Ghostlands
27 - 42 Hillsbrad Foothills and Alterac Mountains ( before someone appears and claims that this area is questionable i will just say that i barely ever saw anyone there, Tarren Mill trashing is a thing sure but rarely enough and not worth changing a zone over it)
42 - 46 Arathi Highlands
46 - 56 Hinterlands
56 - 60 Western Plaguelands
60 - 62 Hellfire Peninsula ( get out of there Asap)
62 - 66 Zangarmarsh
66 - 68 Terrokar Forest
68 - 70 Shadowmoon Valley
Avoid Nagrand in Outlands
70 - 79 Howling Fjord
79 - 80 Grizzly Hills
It won't be nearly as fast as it would be if you chose a different path but it's smooth sailing all the way.

I dont mind the occasional ganks, with every encounter i learn something about my class. I just want to level up the fastest way possible.
