    looking for some 2s tips

    IM playing h.paly/ udk in 2v2 icecrown server
    we are at 1.7 now wer having serious problem against
    h paly/warr
    rogue/priest
    priest/mage
    we lost almost every games against them
    since im new as holy i played 95% as ret and i have 1.3 ressi as holy
    im asking for any advice that help to deal with the teams below and ty

    Experience. Just play and learn on your mistakes. You yourself should know where are you making mistakes and how to avoid them. Nobody else can tell you that unless we see an arena video, and even then, it's difficult.

    Just think how did they defeat you, why, and so on.

    Also, in my opinion, Holy Paladin and a DK is not the best arena team ever - but what do I know, never tried it.

    Pretty much what the previous poster said. Although Hpal/DK is a really strong 2s comp, considering how good DKs are in wotlk.

    What you need to do is question your moves. If they killed you because you blew all cds the first 30 seconds, then that is the problem. If they killed you because you were standing in the middle of the arena eating every CC or getting switched on and dying fast, then that is the problem. Try and find the cause to you losing the games and try a different approach.
    Usually at lower ratings people are really bad at positioning, making it very easy to CC or switch to them. With good positioning it can be extremely hard for a mage to poly without also using another CD such as Deep Freeze or nova+CS.

    Hpala / warr is hard, since the warrior has healing reduction skills, while you don't. Skill will determine this match-up, you'll have to practice your matchup more, perhaps you'll end up winning these games later, just try syncronizing your stun with the DK's disables, after the hpala wasted bubble, he got a chance at killing him.

    Rogue/priest - you have to avoid getting sapped, that's a first, other thing, DK should nuke the priest hard and shouldn't allow him to heal/dps at all, since he's a really hard counter to priests, this match-up should be easy.

    Priest/mage - same as above, also, you'll have to use LoS as much as you can, they won't be able to do anything if you LoS. Also dispel DK from slows and stuff. If he goes on the Priest, the mage won't be able to do enough damage to kill him, and the priest is dead after dispersion, or if he's disc, he should be able to kill him with stun/silence/interrupts.

    Well, against Warrior/Hpally it's somewhat same plays as warrior/hpally does. You need to switch on target that doesn't have Sacred Shield most of the times, You can also go for long games and dps more on warrior while ghoul and diseases drop paladins HP to around 80% or so, then follow with Grip>hoj> gnaw>strangulate and of course gargoyle, most of the times it will make paladin buble/die, if he bubles switch on warrior and it might force him to Shield Wall. Remember, as Hpaladin you can also dps, since dk doesn't have heal reduction, your dps can be handy too. If your dk is taking alot of damage, he can always switch to Frost presence, kite warrior around pillar due to fact that dk's have chains of ice and aoe slow and give you time to heal him up.

    Versus Rogue priest you should be able to win, on opening dk can use Lichborne to avoid Sap (Look out from Shackle, if priest is casting it, he needs to cancel Lichborne), as paladin you can use Hand of Sacrifice and if you will get sap and they do damage on dk, HoS will break Sap, it applies for Poly too against mages. Dk should be able to kill priest quite easily, (Rogue will stun dk 24/7, so annoying) With Hand of Protection you can break Blind/Disarm effects and dk needs to cancel Hop.

    Against Priest/Mage, well this is little bit annoying comp sometimes. Try to keep in LoS, I would say that it's better for DK not to go much in open unless he has AMS, because if he will get slow and you will get Poly for example. Most of the times it will force DK to use AMZ/IF and it would end up in favor of enemy team. So if you get poly, dk can use AMS and it might save your game. It might take sometimes few attempts to kill this comp (Specially if they are Discy/frost), if you catch priest without shield, you can try to burst him down, but there might be times when priest simply goes out of mana because of all the dispels, healing.

    These are like general things against these comps, but of course it doesn't apply to every game/situation. Not everyone plays the same way, so most of the time you need to time your cd's depending what happens in the match and try not to waste them really fast. hope it helps and good luck.

  8. LoS more. Learn when spells are most optimized to use, specially those with a cooldown (for example you wanna is your stun or blessing of freedom while your partner is CCed, so that you can survive.)

    Also communications.

    Maybe these are not the enlightening tips you were hoping for but those who know and use these will certainly go 2,2K+ ez

  9. hpala/warr - if they outgear you keep switching and hope that their downs amiplifies over time otherwise it's a draw. If they're donators and you're not remember to pop wings while he's just doing random warr dps with no cds because it's ******ed. Kite the warrior between cds till he cries that his smourne can't reach the bad guys :(

    rogue/priest - max range, keep crippling off and try to keep rogue in combat. This one takes some time to get used to.

    mage/pri - max range, spam dispel(even before debuffs go up), dk stop them pushing in on you.

    In my experience on this server most match ups are determined by gear regardless of what people may tell you, if you're both half furious geared and they're both donators you do 0 damage on bursts even with multiple kicks and cc's on braindead players and you have to spam heal vs warrs for your dk to even stay alive. Atleast that's how it is playing 2.2k mmr with furious gear.

    Playing DK in 2s isn't about killing enemies but rather staying alive. Kite melees and utilize frost presence / desecrate. Chains of ice melees out of dispeller los. Just like you can kite melees you can kite casters around los.

    Gargoyle is ultimate burst tool, so you and your hpal should make sure it can cast when its up (also make sure to use it with trinket procs). It's not bad idea to use hand of protection on it vs warriors if enemy doesn't have cooldowns left.

    Other than gargoyle you should utilize Death and Decay and Corpse Explosion for killing healers ( or dps ). At higher rating you can usually kill only healers, but at low rating you can probably kill the dps sometimes, but I recommend just practicing your burst sequences on low healers while you can since killing dps becomes almost unrealistic later on.

    Some basics to deal with different comps / classes:

    - Warlocks, if they have priest / shaman healer you can cleave the lock, pet, healer and run healer oom
    - Mages: lichborne + AMS guarantaanes 17 seconds uptime on healer
    - Disc priests: Apart from disc / feral being tough to oom / kill you should be able to dispatch or oom discs quite easily, you can even ignore dps completely to prevent Prayer of Mending procs
    - Warriors: watch out for STS + Taunka procs, otherwise they should be harmless
    - Rogues: You can send pet on his team mate to avoid Sap (you are unsappable while pet is running to someone), usually it's matter of murdering rogue's caster or healer.
    - Hunters: Watchout for traps / rapid fire / STS / taunka proc and you can do almost whatever you want, kill the healer or run him oom.
