WotLK help gearing a mage

Hello, i was wondering if someone can help me out how to gear up my mage he's currently 4829 gs

all i'm currently doing is spamming rdf heroic hoping for a better drop but it's a bit hard since it's 1 dungeon per day (i'm waiting for 'Battered Hilt' or buy it to get the sword + faces of doom mabye) all whom i asked told me to do toc/voa 10 but everyone in global is asking for a min of 5-5.3k gs or get a guild
i feel really stuck here not knowing what to do
btw i can get like ([Sunstrider's Leggings of Conquest], [Brimstone Igniter], [Hood of Smoldering Aftermath][Talisman of Resurgence]or [Shard of the Crystal Heart]) and replace them with my current gear and i'll reach 5k but i don't believe it's an upgrade

i had this problem with my mage too
you should cheat raid leaders :D
go and buy some pvp gears with honor in Old city (SW) for raising your GS then you can go TOC or VOA
i know this isnt right but this was only way for me

Why don't you host your own ToC/VoA raids? This way you won't need to worry about having "low" GS.
