Technical $40,- donation

Good afternoon,

I once donated $40,- when I still played on Arena-Tournament. I did this so I could buy all the high-end gear. It's pretty hard to get to the rating needed to buy good gear with low gear yourself. I haven't played for a while now and I heard Arena-Tournament switched to Warmane. I couldn't log in with my old account for some reason, so I made a new one and merged it with my old account, hoping that I could still use the ''donation services''. This is not the case.

Is it still possible to get gear by donating and can I still make use of the $40,- donation I made a fe years back?

Log-in game and do daily bg for the 50 Arena point + get a decent rating via soloq or 2s.
Arena flush is twice per week now, monday and friday morning

the gear gap is not so crucial on Wotlk and most of the player you face are just half wrathful so do nto be scared
