Technical MoP server down?

I have the exact same issue as this guy, but nobody has come up with an answer.

I thought the mop server was literally "Open and go" like the wotlk server.

Yes unable to log in... odd server stats dont reflect the problem!

On the Warmane information stats page, it says that it currently had 1700 players on the MoP server. I guess they really do lie about the stats......

Alliance: 0, Horde: 0, population: 1398 *lol*, probably those 1398 are bots or scripts or something like that but not players.
And I am sure they do not update that statistic every xx seconds/minutes but every one hour.

Server was up for 2 minutes and...surprise it crashed... I know it's free to play server, but can you look after it a bit instead of concentrating 100% of your resources to old expansions like WoTLK?

They are updating the server with some patches on pandaria. Its normal to be down

They announced on server, before the restart, a hour and 40 minutes ago, still no post on site or on forum about it.
