WotLK or Cata(?) - High Ping PVP

Hey, I play on about 280ms average latency and was looking for a class I could play some battlegrounds casually with and have reasonable impact. I don't really have any PVP experience outside casually doing BGs when I played WotLK retail. What class would be best for this sort of thing? I would prefer to not play a Druid or Paladin and I already have a hunter, so neither of those 3. I'm thinking probably of just playing this character on Icecrown, as the Cata server is kind of dead from what I hear.

I researched into this as well recently around internet.

From what I see, people have been suggesting Beast Master Hunter and Affliction Warlock. For melee, Unholy Death Knight.

I'm leveling Warlock and Death Knight at the moment to see how they would do.
