1. Question regarding the upcoming rate drops

I'm well aware of the rate drops set for Oct 1, yet I still have one curiosity. Will the actual gather rates be lowered along with profession rates?
For example if I am currently looting ~12 ghost iron ores from a single deposit, will I still get this opportunity after Oct 1? Or will I be lucky to snipe 5 at most?
Same applies for Herbalism or any other gathering prof in general.

    Thanks in advance.

  2. Imo Profession rates has nothing to do with item drop rates.... They will only reduce profession leveling rate and gold drop rate. e.g if you were getting 7 gold from a npc, after the rate reduction you will get 1 gold instead of 7. But the item's number will remain as it is.

  3. A better question would be will they fix ore and herb node spawns before they implement the change to x1. There are herbs in Northrend that don't even spawn as well as ore that doesn't spawn. Both Un 'goro and Silithus spawn exactly 0 Thorium...

They have also stated they would fix reputation daily's before the change to x1 rep.

  4. "On October 1, 2016 we will be reducing some of the realm rates to further accommodate the concept of blizz-like and improve overall players' enjoyment. The changes will be mainly affecting profession skill ups, reputation rates and weapon skill ups whilst the gold rate will remain increased to be in sync with the players' progress due to higher experience rates."

"With that information, we have concluded that all realms will receive a gold squish of 50% on January 1, 2017 giving players plenty of time to use up their reserves before we commence the first gold squish."

    Reading is very difficult ;)

    Brace Thy Self.

  5. They said they are gonna fix old content before that too. So either brace yourself to grind dungeon and raid reps or just hope they delay the rate nerfs a bit. As for the gold it's down to x3, not x1. So if a mob drops 7g now you'll get 3g after.

  6. This is why I have spent the last couple weeks leveling every profession to 600.

  7. I'm really starting to think that the "server economy health" is not the real goal in this situation, since they're NOT implementing a good base before the rates drop (talking especially about professions), ie: Lack of veins and herbs in some zones, affecting BS, JC, Alchemy, Inscription (in more or less proportion), lack of low level content affecting Enchanting and in some way, Tailoring. Lack of Professions 'boost', ie missing crafting items x2 or more, affecting ALL professions, etc, etc.

Advice: Level professions before Oct. 1 if you don't want to suffer badly.

*Not even mentioned this: http://forum.warmane.com/showthread.php?t=333110 , which would be a real PITA when professions will be x1in the current server state.

*EDIT: I add that some veins and profession crafting do not even level up either (I just remembered, now that I'm leveling some profs atm (I wouldn't even lv up since all my 'main' chars are full, but due to the bugged achievement mentioned above, I'm leveling and erasing profs. to get it)). they changed their mind:
    Experience: x7
Gold rate from x7 to x3
Weapon skills from x5 to x3
Profession rate from x5 to x3
Reputation rate from x7 to x3

This still doesn't address the problem with missing ore and herb nodes. How has this NOT been fixed yet? Do you know how many players I have had to tell where to find thorium ore when they go to the places every guide tells you to go and there is...NOTHING? And the herb situation is even worse.

  10. In your quote it says Jan 1st?

So the rate cut will happen on Oct 1st and the gold squish on Jan 1st??
