1. 1. Combat is better late due to burst damage and the 4% debuff. But stick to assa until you get proper gear for combat. And assa is the easiest to play.

    4. Don't let the energy go above 100. Or rather keep burning energy all the time, spam abilities all the time so energy gets burned constantly.
Little sidenote but II just tested today that Herkumi + Wispering Fanged skull is better than Herkumi + STS.

Im getting a bit confused lol

Is the original idea: sub or combat for leveling and assassing later on?

And whats now the best for leveling? Sub or Com
    ?

I'd use all three specs. Sub for leveling, Assa once you hit 80 up to ICC10 gear levels, and combat afterward. But opinions differ, find your own way.

If you level together it also might be a good idea to use different specs. Combat + Sub will give you most damage in combination.

I have a few more questions.

    1. At this moment i am level 14, what is some sort of low-level combo/rotation which can be coming in handy at this point?
    2. What kind of gems/stat should be highly prefered? Haste or Agility? I hear mixed feelings about both and I can't figure out which benefits more.
    3. Which professions are good for rogues? also this part has a lot of different takes. If this would help: I would like to focus more on improving my gear, especially that I'm not so experienced with rogue and can be wonky with the mechanics.

    1. Until you get Ambush or Cheap Shot, stealth isn't helping you much. Just Sin Strike until you know you will kill the target with Eviscerate. If you know you will be killing multiple mobs, try to get Slice and Dice up during the first mob, then have it long enough to finish the rest. Once you get Ambush and Cheap Shot, use them to open from stealth. I prefer Cheap Shot as although it does no damage, the stun/2cp actually make the mob do less damage to you during the fight.

    2. Gem/Stat priority is the least of your concern right now. Agility and Stam are what you need to focus on while leveling. Once you get 80, then you can start worrying about things like hit caps, expertise, etc.

    3. Really all depends on what you want to do. Leatherworking/Skinny is always a useful combo, especially if it's your first character. This makes a lot of gold from skinning and can give you craftable gear where you are lacking from random drops. Alchemy/Herb gives you a self HoT, and potions/elixirs to help while leveling.

  6. Try them all out, see which one u enjoy. Learn it yourself, don't listen to these scrubs.
One will like more sub for leveling, another will like more combat and some weirdo will like assassination over those other two specs.
I leveled my rogues with all 3 specs.
Combat is always the same, at lvl 15 and at lvl 80 it's the same only it's slower.
Sub is a fun spec, and if you have heirlooms or/and fancy dungeon gear for your level, stuff will die fastest.
If that stuff is single target.
Assassination is also fine, but from like levels 40-50 when you can pick up mutilate from the talents.

Since it's 2 of you leveling together, probably it's better to go combat.
But again, try them all out, see which one you enjoy the best.
So go combat until you find some nice daggers, when you get daggers try out sub.
If you still manage get some good daggers at lvl 40-50 then try out assassination.
