Just saw the trailer for the first time xD

My hopes are crushed. ****ing politically correct again.

I think it's completely fine.

Lucas sold pretty much if not all the rights. Disney should be able to do what they want even if it does make the books and other lore non-canon.

Sucks yeah but at least the story still continues unlike other big stories.

I for one am pretty excited especially seeing Vader will be in it and voiced by James Earl Jones. I still hope Boba Fett is in it.

I will say this whole shabang about a Han Solo film sounds dumb. Rogue One (basically Episode 3.5) is pretty odd too but not as dumb as a standalone film over one character's life.
