Tempest Keep issue with a rogue

Hi guys. My main is a rogue and I have an issue of pulling the first boss to attack me. My shiv can't hit it because it passes too quick before it can cast, and my fan of knives can't pull it. Any idea on how to pull it?

Uhh sorry I've meant the Throw spell, not Shiv lmao. The Throw spell doesn't cast that fast, when I cast it, the boss just flies by me and it says "you need to be in front of your opponent"
