What are points for?

Hey guys! I'm new to this server, I joined for Lordaeron and the Blizzlike leveling experience. I was poking around my account and I saw that I have "points" but in the store, it says I can't use them on Lordaeron. Since I only play on Lordaeron, are they good for anything? :/ Thanks!

Lordaeron is a hardcore realm you can't buy things there you have to earn them.
