1. Change DR timers to 18 seconds

    From: http://wowwiki.wikia.com/wiki/Diminishing_returns
It should be noted that the server does not reset diminishing returns after exactly 15 seconds. Instead, it checks every 5 seconds if there are any diminishing returns that should be reset because the last spell in their category was cast on the target more than 15 seconds ago. As a result, a particular diminishing return category may take anywhere between 15 and 20 seconds to reset. Most addons guess that a DR category has reset after 18 seconds by default.
Gladius DR tracker which was used on retail had a 18 second DR timer as default setting.
DiminishingReturns addon lets you configure DR between 15-20 seconds yourself.

Don't you see how having diminish returns locked at a static 15 second timer skews the balance quite a bit when in reality retail had 15-20 second timer.

There was however one point when retail actually had a static 15 second DR timer, however this didn't even last 2 weeks since it didn't take long for people find out about it and started abusing it.

    The hotfix soon thereafter: https://us.battle.net/forums/en/wow/topic/16529192789#1
We’ve recently made a slight change to how crowd control diminishing returns function, and would like to provide some concrete information on exactly what’s been changed and why.

As most of you are likely aware, there is a brief window of time after a crowd control effect has been applied, during which further crowd control effects of the same category will have a decreased duration. In patch 6.0.3, due to the method used to update diminishing returns, that window could last anywhere from 15 to 20 seconds.

Patch 6.1 added some new functionality that allows diminishing returns to update much faster, which means we can be a lot more precise with exactly how long they last. So, we made a recent hotfix that changes the duration of diminishing returns to 18 seconds. That means diminishing returns should last about as long as they did on average prior to these changes, but you’re able to have a much clearer idea of exactly when they’ll end.

    Conclusion:
Change DR timers to 18 or 17.5 seconds, this because nobody likes the RNG that 15-20 seconds is.

Clarification: Currently the server has a static 15 second DR timer

  2. Increasing the DR timer would make warr+hpala even stronger since this setup doesn't have any CC.

good argument, cause the whole game should balance around one single comp

  4. good argument, cause the whole game should balance around one single comp
It would affect close to every comp, since hpala warr is a t1 comp that is overrepresented.

  5. Current dr is the same as the retail wotlk, there's no need to change anything.

  6. Sven is shinta undercover. Baguette got farmed by preg and homer so gotta make his dev friend, only Blackrock dev left btw, nerf all comps except war pal.
