But it isn't up to you. An item is an item. You can apply whatever logic you like. If anything, weapons should be more expensive because they are more crucial to your character's performance than any other item slot.

How have two hand user a disadvantage right now? The opposite is the case.

And yes, it would make totaly sense that weapons are more expensive than other gear because they give the most stats.
Prices based on Gearscore would mean that more benefical items are also more expensive while less beneficial items such as ring or bracers are cheaper.

At the end of the day no one is at a disadvantage because nobody forces you to buy a damn thing, out of the 30 spec in wotlk i can only think of 5 that only use one weapon and for 3 of those shadowmourne is their bis. just like a hunter can deal with just buying a ranged weapon a rogue for example can just buy their main weapon and be fine, the off hand barely does anything

Smourne is only BiS for DPS. Depending on what spec you are (DK's for example), and your role as an OT, you could have at least 3 different 2h BiS (Crypt, Marrow, Gloren).

In the end, you're right , no one's at a disadvantage, since we're not forced to buy anything at all.

Like the mod said, it's a per item price.

If you want to skip raiding and just buy a BiS, you're gonna need to pay the cost.

It would be nice if there was some kind of deal, but that's not the case.

As in life, you're paying for convenience.

You could build a house yourself, or buy one already built.

One is going to cost more than the other, it's just how it is.
