Cataclysm I cannot launch wow due to errors please help

Whenever i launch wow.exe it works properly but when i try to login i get an error:"Unable to validate game version.this may be caused by file corruption."
I tried running the launcher.exe but then it updates and gets the error "update failed".My current version of wow is 3.0.1 .This is my 1st time playing wow and I have no clue how to solve these problems please help.

if you wanna play Cata then you need you delete your 3.0.1 game version and download a 4.3.4 version.

Once you got the correct game version rember to log-in by using wow.exe application and to use warmane account name, not email addres
