well it depend if you joined a pve guild or not but its not easy in other way . you have to gear up pvp wise and then switch to make raiding happens . but rather for horde side i know only 2 op guild for pve : the sanctuary / sober .
as for alliance : stromborn / the elysium
you can try to join one of them and you need to be committed for the guild cause .

UHHHHHHH, does anyone remember the mossy chests in timeless isle... get someone to run you and you could gear everyone with 490 gear, upgrade it with valor and get a 500 ilvl... not hard. id research it or ask around, thats how i geared my holy pally
