mana management as enhance and ret (PvP)

I noticed that enhance and ret have some serious mana problems in longer PvP fights, especially when healing is involved.
Is it worth to use lower spell ranks such as cleaning and frost shock rank1 to save mana?
What do u do once u are oom? As a melee it feels kinda strange that we are forced to hide and drink during a battle just to be able to use our abilitys and im also wondering how that works out in Arena.

As retribution you would use SoC rank 1 cos it deals the same damage unless u judgment (Then you would use rank 6). Retris arent good in 2v2 combos,.There are only few viable combos that might push you to reach 1800-1900 score. Retri/Mage or rogue as nuke team or Rshammy + retri for longer fights.

Disc/ret is also viable, but it requires a very good coordination :) No place for mistakes in the cc chain

As ret rog u just rush using defencive cds and cc chain so u dont really care about mana management (u rarely reset fight anyway)
As ret sham enemy go u often so u gain mana by healing received which is enough almost always and if they go shaman and its a long fight u gonna drink alot, also use bandages on cd coz holy light cost like million mana

yea.. but everyone is horde.. people just play highrated with their perfect racials
so you have very high queuetimes over there and on alliance you are special :D

Tbh if ally will have few premades running ques for horde wont be that long coz many ppl will get tired of getting no mark and honor. And i wouldnt mind play ally but unlike other classes ret and sham really get alot if go horde

Don't Rets and Enhance have like 5k mana? Which means you can drink for 10 seconds and be at full mana. That's not a big deal at all. Like what are you even complaining about? You want to run around and never worry about mana just because you're melee? Wrong expansion.

Try playing Spriest or Boomkin who go oom after 3 spells and have to drink for 30 seconds every single time.


It's just the nature of BC. Deal with it.

True, Alliance can easily premade. But this is not Vanilla so there won't be groups farming BGs all day long just for mediocre honor gear. Arena gear is FAR superior and arena is where Horde shines because of broken racials and higher population.

alliance will lack in enough highrated arenaplayer.. because most highrated and all wannabes (this is the advantage) will roll horde.. they would cry a river without their racials
