    enha shaman pvp with stormherald?

is it any fun? for bgs and some worldpvp. Is it worth taking BS for it? especially as a tauren for the racial stun plus the bs mace stun knowing how weak shaman cc normally is.

2h enhance is fun, but not really "viable". But its really expensive to get the 2hander, since you have to get 2x1hander first if you plan on PVE or serious pvp if you are going for BS weapons.

2H is pretty terrible for Enhance. You'll do no damage on people with resilience. 1H is much better.

I dunno, there were more than a few glad teams that ran with a 2h Enh back in BC. Sunder/expose + exe and a good wep could still 1 shot WF proc people with decent resil. You can youtube and watch the insanity. DW was better sustain, but the 2h burst if you run a comp and gear for it is real.

From what I have read 2H in PvP is absolute viable if not better than dual-wield.
In TBC there is no lava lash, there is no maelstorm weapon, there is no static shock and Frostbrand weapon imbue is pretty worthless. All spells and talents that make dual-wield better didnt exist back in TBC.

Doesn't matter if dual-wield or two hand, the dmg reduction with resilience is the same.

that sound like really fun for BG where you fight random low geared people and you 1 shot them.but going arena with 2h and hoping that some crazy WF prock will 1 shot your target?!?!?! dont sound like very viable what if WF dont prock you will simple get rekt.and with this slow attack with 2h weapon...
maybe something like BM or ret + 2h enh can 1 shot i guess.but i dont see what else can work out with 2h shaman.

Na 2H hits for nothing. Been playing Enhance TBC for the last few years.

It hits for plenty. Lack of consistency does not equate to hits for nothing.

Then please elaborate why u think that resilience affects a 2hander more than dual-wield weapons.

    - Dual-wield and 2hand gives pretty much the same amount of crit rating.
    - On both weapon types the dmg is based on WF: Double WF imbue on DW and WF imbue on 2H.
    - The magic dmg with shock is pretty much the same.

Only difference is that 2H is more bursty while DW does more sustain dmg.
Now if a opponent has lots of resilience 2H deals less burst while DW deals less sustain dmg. The result is the same.

The reason why i choose 2H over DW is that enemys tend to kite u a lot in PvP. When u have only short uptime on ur opponent then burst from 2H always outperforms sustain dmg from DW.

Well the thing about enhance in arena or pvp, is that you have a sheild when you are against melees. Unless you have a healer.
So you wont have any survive, since you are only aiming on 2h, easy to get kited and nothing to protect your self with i suggest you go into resto instead of elemental tree.

But this is just personal preference.

As to Race, ii dont like Taurens simply because its very easy to get kited. Its really easy to kite shamans and keeping them from "connecting" on you. ( bigger hitbox)
Beeing Troll Kinda helps a bit, with Healthregan and Berzerking is nice for faster heals or a hope for WF.
And Ofc Orcs for the "DPS/HEAL Trinket" and Stunresist

Again Racials and Variants on speccs are preferences.

You need to be a weapon master as enhance sham, and get talents to prevent from being disarmed.

Have your macros for going into axe and board, two weps, or 2h.
2h is better against a mage before he's blinked, ghost wolf and try to get into range for a dual wield flurry and see where you are.
Know a stunlock is coming from a rogue, Axe and board with possible kite mode ready.

Even having a healing macro with a spell power mace and shield is useful for in between weapon switches for that simple extra healing.
It's a really complicated class in pvp if you want to be a master enhance sham that is , who does not rely solely on random chance procs.

Skip Blacksmith, it's such a pain to level, you are better off with lw/skin for the drums.
