Making a character on Icecrown - Some questions!

Hey!

I have played on high XP rate servers before, and know that when making a new char it's a good idea to make a caster first, as melee classes are too gear dependant. What's this like on Icecrown? I read that there is a 5x gold rate here too, so does that mean you manage to get enough gold to keep up with gear and skills?

Gold rate in Icecrown is like 3x I believe. My suggestion is, don't rely on it, exp rates are way too high and you'll have a hard time just by learning skills/mounts. Instead, loot everything, grind a bit, get a profession and sell matterials at the AH. Leveling from 1-60 you'll find very few green items compared to when you reach Outland and Northrend.

Molest the AH like your waifu. Go get two gathering professions and stripmine the very earth beneath while kill all that is edible, stripping it of its flesh. Sell it. Sell it all.
