Technical Retail Client pls help

Hi so i have been playing retail for a while and want to switch to warmane. Do i need to redownload the game to play warmane, or is there something i can do with my retail client. My retail client is currently on Legion.

You have to download client for the expansion you want to play. You can not downgrade your client to a different expansion and Warmane does not have Legion realms.

oh ok but do i need to download all of the 18 gigs for wotlk? :O

Yes, if you want to play wotlk you have to download whole client before you can play. Downloading client data while you play was implemented in Cata so wotlk client won't work unless you download all of it.
