    Priest 101

    Hello, i want to try a healer class, so naturally im gonna pick a priest, never tried it before.
    So i dont know what spec to go for leveling and BG's
    can anyone describe the different specs and which one is best for healing in pvp .

    @WotLK

    Holy is the traditional healer spec, and more useful in a larger number of PvE contents (useful in all PvE content). You cast heals and your ally's health bar fills up.

    Discipline is a "preventative" type of healer spec in the way that their strength is in preventing damage from being applied to their allies. They are capable of healing up people too, but they are generally not used for that. Discipline only sees a bunch of use in PvP (where it is the better of the 2 specs due to its raw defensive capability without putting itself at risk of being interrupted) and in the top tiers of PvE content where you are massively geared.

    thanks a lot , exactly what i wanted to know!

  4. Holy is okay for PvE bad for PvP.
    Disc is okay for both PvP and PvE.
    They both have different playstyles but in wotlk holy is considered more difficult for some reason.
