BiS item deleted - GMs useless

I seriously hate to make a forum post about this, but after waiting 3+ days twice in a row for GMs replying with empty in-game mails I don't know what else to do.

The quests to progress your rep with Violet Eye are literal quest log fillers, so I decided to disband mine. That destroyed my Violet Signet without warning.

This is clearly an error in the scripting, and if GMs aren't in the game to fix exactly these kinds of issues then what are they for?
