Game freezes on specific quest

So... I play on my Macbook Pro and use Wine to play WoW. Haven't had any issues so far with it until now. The quest is "cleansing the orb of orahil" for warlock. As soon as I accept the quest, I see a 3 min timer and immediately the entire game freezes. When I force quit program and relog in, if the timer is still going my game will freeze again within seconds. As soon as the timer goes away and I effectively fail the quest, I have no problems. Please help.
