How do i enter Stratholme Undead Side ?

I was trying to get into undead side at strathome but the gate between living side and undead side was closed so I did a little research and found that to enter undead side there is an another enterance but that entrance`s gate is closed to and I need Key to the city to unlock it but the key to the city drops from a boss at undead side. Is there any other way or I am doing something wrong ?

The gate towards the second part of the instance opens up once you clear the Scarlet side (or you can skip to it directly once you have obtained the Key to the City from Magistrate Barthilas)

I just tried getting the gate towards undead part to open by killing the three abominations that roam the streets in living, as a comment on here http://db.vanillagaming.org/?zone=2017#wh-comments says you should do and it didn't work. I've also heared killing last boss in strat living doesn't open it either... Seems bugged!
