1. Resist resist resist in pvp

I had repentance and 2 hammer of justice resisted by a dwarf priest in a row. A friend of mine plays a rogue and the guy was literally almost immune to cheap shot because they kept getting resisted..

Can physical stuns even get resisted?

  2. Yep, orcs racial for example. Or some talents.

  3. is all about a potion wich everybody is using....don't panic

the free action potion is doing that.

  4. use hit gems and enchant for hit your target ;)

It's funny because they don't become immune i just get resists. My friends rogue has like a 30% fail rate on cheap shot because of all the resists.

  6. use hit gems and enchant for hit your target ;)
I don't think this helps against physical abilities getting resisted? Does it?

  7. yes hit gem precisely increase your chance of hitting your target with your physical spell or attack ;)

  8. This is not wotlk, talents and gems do not lower the duration of cc, they increase the chance to totally resist them. Everyone spec for pvp got min. a 15% chance. Orcs got the strongest racial here, they can gear up to about 50% resist chance.

Was always fun to play against ud rogue (who feel suprior over orc rogue), who just apear next to you clueless of what happened.

  9. Players have resistances to one or more spell-schools. In Battlegrounds players may have Shadow Protection, Mark of the Wild, Paladin auras or totems that increases player resistances, so having Spell Penetration is quite useful in PvP and should not be forgotten.

Warlocks can cast Curse of the Elements and Curse of Shadow.

It is not possible to reduce a player's resistance to less than 0.

When you cast a spell, the first thing that happens is the Hit roll. Spell Penetration will only increase the effect of spells that already have succesfully landed on the target. However, even spells that land have a chance to do nothing at all if the player's resistance is very high. That's what spell penetration is for.

Miss is when you don't have enough Chance to Hit. Resist is when you don't have enough Spell Penetration.

That being said, our combat log doesn't make it easy for us to see what's going on. For some reason even when a spell misses, it will show as "resisted" in the combat log. Keep this in mind when you observe combat logs.
Only thing is ret paladins never bothered with spell pen because there is no holy resistance in the game. Cheap and Kidney shot are physical abilities but i don't think iv'e seen any warrior have intercept resisted.

  10. I got charge and intercept resisted by human mages, priests etc. and I have 5%+ hit.

Intercept, thunder clap & initimidating shout are declared as "magic" spells that deal physical damage by blizzard therefore they are also subject to the 1% miss/resist chance.

A lot of players are also using the 5% stun resist meta gem.

Thanks for clarifying. My post was just a reply to the previous one.
