Technical Game doesnt save my settings on startup

Hey guys
i have a problem that i think might be easily fixed, and there is probably something super simple that i have totally missed that might fix this, but:
the game does not save my settings (screen res, keybindings etc.) which is super annoying. i have no addons installed but im gonna try just to see how it interacts. as a "bonus" the game plays the starting cinematic on every startup, and i have to accept terms of use too.
what to do?

Your game folder is marked as "Read Only", so the game is unable to write your settings to the config files. Right click on the folder, go to properties. Uncheck the read only box. It's also a good idea if you don't keep it in a place like Program Files.
