Can't get buff/debuff addons to work

I'm trying to get DBM or OmniCC - either one, to give me bar style timers that are moveable that show my current buffs and the debuffs I've applied to my targets. However I cannot seem to get either of them to work - I can move the bars around in DBM for example, but my buffs never actually appear. They simply show up in the upper right hand corner in the default location. I've checked all the settings I can think of or find but can't find anything I'm doing or have set up wrong. Any advice?

DBM - bossmods has nothing to do with buffs/debuffs durations on targets
OmniCC - spell timers on your actionbars

The addon you're looking for is powerauras. Might be difficult to config if you're not familiar with it. There are plenty of guides on youtube tho.
