API to get auction data

Not sure how feasible it would be, but I would love to have access to auction house data through an API. I love being able to track an item's price history over time, such as on the UndermineJournal website, and was thinking about setting up something similar for Warmane if an API was provided.

I got an answer a few months ago that it wasn't planned, i created an addon that parses each page and save it in some lua objects.

It takes about 25 min to scan everything on icecrown(55-60k auctions last i did it) so it's not at all realtime(or even something to do hourly), but that's the best solution i know atm.
I never got around to building a data lookup though, might do that someday
